Phyllis' Cookbook (II) |
JARLESBERG CHEESE DIP | |
2 cups Jarlesberg Swiss cheese (coarsley grated) 3/4 cup mayonnaise (not salad dressing) 1/4 cup milk -or- half & half cream 1 tsp. lemon juice 1/4 c. minced onion (optional) Gently combine all ingredients. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving. Serve with cracker/bagel chips, etc. (New York Style sesame bagel chips are excellent). Can be made several days in advance. This particular recipe does not require baking, as in other Jarlesberg dip recipes. It is excellent. Submitted by: Phyllis Chittum |
