SHOOFLY CAKE WITHOUT CRUST | |
4 1/2 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1 c. shortening 1 c. molasses 1 c. hot water 1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1/2 cup hot water Combine flour, sugar and shortening for crumbs. Reserve 1 cup crumbs for top. Then make batter with rest of crumbs and ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. |
