SAVANNAH RED RICE 
4 strips of bacon
2 green bell peppers
2 med. onions, chopped
2 c. cooked rice
1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 c. tomato sauce
1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1 lb. cooked shrimp and/or cooked sausage
1 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
Pepper to taste

In a large skillet, fry bacon crisp and remove to paper towel, saving drippings in skillet. brown pepper and onions in drippings. Add rice, tomatoes, tomato sauce, Tabasco and crumbled bacon. Add cooked shrimp or cooked sausage and pepper to taste.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Pour contents of skillet into greased 2- quart casserole. Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese and bake for 30 minutes. Serves 4 as a main course.
