NEVER FAIL BAKING POWDER
BISCUITS
 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. milk

Combine dry ingredients. Add butter and milk and form into a ball. Pat or roll out 1/2" thick on lightly floured surface. Cut with biscuit cutter. Prick biscuits with fork from top. Brush tops with a little milk. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 8 biscuits. NOTE: To make shortcake biscuits with this recipe, use 3/4 cup sugar instead of 1 teaspoon.
