BARBECUE SANDWICH 
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1/2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. red pepper
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 1/4 c. tomatoes
3/4 c. celery, chopped
4 tbsp. vinegar

Brown meat in skillet, separating with fork. Combine all other ingredients and stir into meat. Cook over low heat for about 1/2 hour to thicken. Serve between hot buns. Makes about 10 servings.

NOTE: Finely chopped pork or veal may be substituted for beef in this recipe.
