APPLE NOODLE KUGEL | |
1/2 lb. wide egg noodles 3 eggs 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. cottage cheese 1/2 c. sour cream or plain yogurt 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. raisins 3 c. peeled and cored apples, sliced thin (NOT delicious) 3 tbsp. butter Cook noodles just until al dente. Beat eggs lightly. Combine eggs, sugar, cottage cheese, sour cream, salt, raisins and apples. Add to cooked noodles. Pour into a 2 quart greased casserole or a 9x12 inch oblong baking dish. Dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 to 3/4 an hour, or until lightly brown on top. May be served topped with plain or whipped cream, Cool Whip or ice cream. |
