HAM LOAF | |
1 1/2 lb. ground cured ham 1 1/2 lb. ground pork steak 2 beaten eggs 1 c. cracker or bread crumbs 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 tbsp. mustard 1 c. milk 1/2 c. vinegar 1/2 c. water Combine the meat, crumbs, beaten eggs, add salt and pepper to taste. Form into loaf and bake in a moderate oven (400 degrees) for 1 hour. Combine and cook sugar, mustard, vinegar, and water for 5 minutes before using as the basting fluid. Baste the loaf every 15 minutes until done. |
