SMOKED TURKEY | |
Use Weber smoker: 1 turkey (any size) 1 bag hickory chips 1 lg. bag charcoal 1 extra large bottle of white wine Mrs. Dash's garlic and herb spices Favorite stuffing 1 c. butter Pour bag of charcoal in smoker. Soak hickory chips in pan water. Pour wine in large pan and place in smoker on second rack. (Wine keeps turkey moist). Wash turkey and pat dry, stuff with favorite stuffing or sliced onion, celery, orange, and apples. Rub whole turkey with melted butter, sprinkle Mrs. Dash's spices on turkey and place turkey on top rack. Placed wet hickory chips, (small amount at a time), in a pile on hot charcoals. Cover turkey with smoker top and cook for 12 to 14 hours, or until done. If you cook it all night it's great! Just add large amount of wet hickory chips to hot coals before going to bed. |
