HEAVENLY HOT FUDGE SAUCE 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. sugar
1 2/3 c. evaporated milk
3 squares unsweetened chocolate
6 tbsp. cocoa and 3 tbsp. butter

Melt butter and chocolate in the top of a double boiler over boiling water. Gradually stir in sugar, about 4 tablespoons at a time, being sure sugar is completely moistened after each addition. This mixture will become very thick and quite dry. Add salt and slowly stir in the evaporated milk, a little at a time. Serve warm. Makes approximately 3 1/2 cups. If a thinner sauce is desired, slowly stir in an additional 1 or 2 tablespoons evaporated milk. Store sauce in a covered jar in the refrigerator and reheat in double boiler before serving.
