3 c. sugar 3 tbsp. light corn syrup 1 c. light cream 2 1/2 sq. unsweetened grated chocolate 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. vanilla 1 c. nuts or more Combine all ingredients except butter, vanilla and nuts. Place in saucepan. Place on medium heat. Stir until sugar and chocolate is dissolved. Cover pan and boil for three minutes. Remove cover and boil to soft ball stage or 238 degrees. Remove from heat and set on rack. DO NOT stir or beat. Add butter and vanilla. Let cool at room temperature until you can hold hand on bottom of pan. Beat and add nuts. Pour in greased pan. |
