DANISH APPLE PIE 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
8-10 tart green apples (Granny Smith)
1 c. lard
1 slightly beaten egg yolk
2/3 c. milk
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. cornflakes

Cut flour, salt and lard with blender until coarse crumbs. Add slightly beaten egg yolk and 2/3 cup milk to above mixture. divide dough into 2 pieces. Roll 1/2 onto a 12 x 17 inch cookie sheet. Put up sides to hold apples. Combine crushed cornflakes, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over sliced apples. Roll other 1/2 dough, place on apples. Moisten edge of bottom dough; pinch edges. Beat egg white until stiff. Brush over top of pie. Bake in 400 degree oven for 1 hour. While warm, ice with glaze made with powdered sugar, water and vanilla.

Maybe 30% more dough. It was super thin for 12 x 17. Glaze instructions. How to cut the apples. I used slices. Thin. Worked great. Turned out great!!!
