FRENCH ONION SOUP | |
4 tbsp. butter 2 1/4 c. thinly sliced onion 6 c. beef broth 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Melt butter in saucepan. Add onions and cook 3 minutes or until yellow. Add broth, salt, and pepper. Cook slowly 20 minutes or until onions are tender. Do not cover. Serve with croutons and grated parmesan cheese, if desired. Beef broth may be made by dissolving 6 bouillon cubes in 6 c. boiling water. |
