ITALIAN SPAGHETTI MEAT SAUCE 
1/2 c. onion
1 lb. hamburger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 c. chopped parsley (opt.)
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 (3 oz.) can mushroom
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
1 c. water

In large skillet, cook onion in hot oil until almost tender. Add meat and garlic. Brown lightly, add remaining ingredients. Simmer uncovered 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until sauce is nice and thick. This sauce freezes real well. When reheating, use a little tomato juice or water.
