ITALIAN MACARONI AND CHEESE | |
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, finely grated 2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese 2 c. white sauce 1 tbsp. salt 3 qts. water 2 c. macaroni 1/4 c. cottage cheese 1/4 c. tomato paste 1/4 tsp. dry English mustard Heat the water, add salt and bring to a boil. Cook the macaroni and drain. Make a white sauce and thin it with water. Mix the Cheddar cheese, white sauce and the mustard. Mix evenly with the macaroni and pour into a buttered casserole dish. Top with tomato paste, Parmesan and bread crumbs. Bake 1/2 hour at 350 degrees. |
