HAWAIIAN POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 sm. can coconut
1 c. milk
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
6 eggs
1 sm. can pineapple
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 sm. box instant vanilla pudding mix

Cream shortening; add eggs. Sift dry ingredients, and add alternately with milk. Fold in pineapple (and juice) and coconut. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours.

BROWN SUGAR GLAZE (optional) :
1 stick butter
3 tbsp. milk
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring to a boil; set aside to cool. Pour over slightly warm cake.
