SUZIE'S TORTILLA SOUP 
1 gal. water
4 fresh tomatoes, chopped
6 cloves garlic, peeled & chopped fine
1 med. onion, chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
Corn tortillas
Shredded Cheddar cheese
Oil for frying

Place tomatoes, garlic, onion, salt, pepper and two cups of water into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a saucepan with remaining water brought to a boil. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Cut fresh tortillas into 1/2 inch by 2 inch strips and deep fry until crisp. Pour soup into a deep bowl and add tortilla chips. Garnish with shredded cheese and serve immediately.
