D.'S SPECIAL SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
3 onions sliced extremely thin
12 fresh mushrooms, medium size
3 cloves garlic, mashed
1/2 c. olive oil, must be top grade
2 lbs. ground chuck for meatballs (use your favorite meatball recipe)
2 lbs. fresh Italian hot sausage
2 1/2 c. Mr. and Mrs. T Bloody Mary Mix
1 1/2 c. tomato puree
1 c. Italian tomato paste
1 lg. can Italian whole tomatoes
4 jalapeno chili peppers
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. sugar
18 lg., king size, stuffed pimiento olives

Put olive oil in large pot on medium heat. Saute' onions, garlic and mushrooms. Take those items out of the pot and put them in a dish. Take the meatballs, which must be made with extremely lean meat, the Italian hot sausage and cook approximately half done. When this is done, I then add the onions, garlic, and mushrooms to the meat. Add the Bloody Mary mix, tomato puree, tomato paste, whole tomatoes, salt, pepper and sugar. Take the 4 jalapeno peppers and put them in the sauce whole. Simmer sauce for approximately 4 hours. Take the peppers out and discard them. Slice the olives in thin slices and put them in the sauce. Simmer for another 30 minutes.
