PUFF PASTRY | |
1/2 c. butter 1 c. flour 2 tbsp. water Cut butter in flour. Stir in water to form ball. Divide in half and put on greased cookie sheet. Make 2 strips out of each ball (12x3 inch strips). 1 c. water 1 tsp. almond extract 1 c. flour 3 eggs Bring butter and water to boil. Remove from heat and add extract and flour. Stir to form ball. Add eggs all at once. Beat until smooth. Spread on each strip. Bake 350 degrees for one hour. GLAZE: 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar 2 tbsp. soft butter 1 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1-2 tbsp. water Mix and glaze top of pastries. |
