CANDIED POPCORN 
6 qt. freshly popped popcorn
1 1/2 c. raw peanuts, optional
1 1/2 c. butter
1 box brown sugar
3/4 c. Karo light corn syrup
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Place popcorn and peanuts in a lightly greased roasting pan; set mixture aside. Melt butter in a large saucepan; stir in sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil; boil 7 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat; stir in soda, salt and vanilla.

Pour sugar mixture over popcorn; stir well. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool; store in an airtight container.
