YAM AND BLACKBERRY SALAD 
2 whole yams (Jewel yams work best)
1 cup blackberries
1/2 cup berry syrup (blackberry or marionberry works best)
1 cup pecans

Preheat oven to 350°F. Skin both yams until all brown skin is off. Mash yams until mashed completely in a large bowl. Add half of the blackberries into the bowl and mash again. Add the rest of the blackberries and the pecans to the bowl.

Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes then pour on syrup. Cut into cubes and enjoy.
