GARLIC FRIED CHICKEN | |
3 1/2 lb. chicken, cut up, skin removed 1 egg, beaten 3/4 c. flour 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 5 garlic cloves - 2 left whole, 3 crushed 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1/2 c. olive oil 1 or 2 lemons, cut in wedges Wash and dry chicken. Dip in egg then in mixture of flour, salt, pepper and crushed garlic. Let pieces stand a few minutes to dry. Heat oil in large pan. Add whole garlic cloves. When garlic is brown, remove them. Add chicken; fry 20-30 minutes or until brown and tender. Serve with lemons. |
