FROG EYE SALAD | |
Cook 1 cup acini de pepe (pasta) in 3 to 4 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Boil 15 minutes (test) and drain. Pour cold water over and drain. Set aside to cool. 2 cans mandarin oranges, drained and 1 large can of crushed pineapple, drain. Save juice in pan. Mix 2/3 cups sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, 3 eggs, beaten and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Add pineapple juice. Cook until thick, cool. Add fruits and accini de pepe. Last fold in 1 large 8 ounce box of Cool Whip. |
