5 c. flour
1 c. salt
2 tbsp. powdered alum (buy at drugstore)
4 c. boiling water
6 tbsp. oil
Coloring (optional)

Combine flour, salt and alum. Add water, then oil. Mix and knead until smooth (just a few minutes). When not in use, store in tightly closed plastic bag at room temperature. No need to refrigerate.
