SWEET & SOUR MEATBALLS | |
2 1/2 lbs. hamburger 1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple 2 tbsp. cornstarch 2 tbsp. soy sauce Bread crumbs 1 lg. onion, chopped 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. vinegar Drain the pineapples and reserve the juice. Mix the cornstarch in the reserved pineapple juice; set aside. Mix hamburger, onions and enough bread crumbs to firm hamburger meat. Roll the hamburger into small balls. Broil under broiler until brown. In a large pan, brown the meatballs, soy sauce, brown sugar and vinegar and bring to a slow boil. Add pineapples and juice mixture and simmer until ready to serve. |
