3/4 c. walnuts (nuts) 1 (No. 1) can crushed pineapple 1/4 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar, packed 1 egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. all-purpose flour, sifted 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt Whipped cream Chop nuts coarsely, drain pineapple thoroughly. Melt butter and stir in sugar. Cool to lukewarm. Add unbeaten egg and vanilla, beat thoroughly. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together; blend into first mixture. Stir in nuts and pineapple. Turn into greased 8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut in squares and top with whipped cream. Makes 6 to 9 servings. |
