MARKO'S FUDGE PIE 
1 pie shell, unbaked
5 3/4 oz. butter
3 3/4 oz. bittersweet chocolate
3/4 c. light Karo syrup
11 oz. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs, room temperature

Melt butter on low heat; add chocolate. Stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Add syrup and bring to a boil. Mix sugar and salt well. Add hot chocolate mixture and stir. Beat in eggs; add vanilla. Fold into unbaked pie shell. Bake in 300 degree oven for 1 hour or until firm. Let cool, top with whipped cream.
