SCANDINAVIAN MERINGUE DESSERT 
3 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking powder
10 soda crackers (Saltines)
3/4 c. broken walnuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Fresh fruit

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat egg whits until very stiff. Add sugar and baking powder, then crackers, broken. Add nuts and vanilla. Put into buttered pie plate and bake for 25 minutes.

Can be filled with fresh fruit after baking. Cool meringue, slice up fresh fruit and place on top.
