1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Cinnamon-sugar mixture

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix thoroughly the butter, shortening, sugar and eggs. Blend in the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. roll balls in cinnamon, sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Remove from sheet. Makes 6 dozen.
