THUMB PRINT COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. milk
2 eggs, beaten
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Grape jam

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and blend well.

In a small bowl sift dry ingredients. Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk and vanilla to the creamed mixture. Mix well after each addition.

Drop by teaspoonful onto a greased cookie sheet. Press center with your thumb and place 1/2 teaspoon jam into the depression.

Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
