CHRISTMAS FRUIT CAKE 
2 c. butter
3 c. brown sugar
8 eggs
1 c. light jelly
6 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
2 lb. seedless raisins
1 lb. dates
1/2 lb. citron peel
1/4 lb. candied orange peel
1/4 lb. candied lemon peel
1 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. red and green cherries
1/2 lb. pecans
1/2 lb. blanched almonds
Flour

Combine all fruit and lightly flour, set aside. Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Sift flour, powder, salt and cinnamon. Mix milk, vanilla and extract and add alternately with flour to creamed mixture.

Fold in fruit. Line loaf tins with brown paper and butter wrappers. Bake at 300 degrees for 3 hour or tested done.
