SAND TARTS 
1 1/2 sticks butter
1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. water
1 c. pecans, chopped
2 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 plus 2 tbsp. flour
Powdered sugar

Combine butter and sugar together. Add water and vanilla. Then stir in flour, a little at a time. Mix well. Add pecans. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Remove and while warm, roll in powdered sugar. (Can be rolled in powdered sugar again, after cooled.)
