GRANNY ALMONDS POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5-6 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. cake flour
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. milk
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Have butter and Crisco at room temperature. Beat sugar and shortenings until creamy. Add 1 egg at a time and beat. Sift flour with baking powder and salt; add to mixture. Beat. Add milk and sour cream. Beat. Add vanilla and beat. Grease and flour pan. Bake in preheated oven at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Do not open oven door for the first hour. Use large Bundt or tube pan.
