BROWNIES FOR A CROWD 
Brownies are moist and cake-like.

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (1 lb.) can chocolate syrup (1 1/2 c.)
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. plus 1 tbsp. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Beat 1/2 cup butter with 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, two at a time, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix well. Stir in chocolate syrup.

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into chocolate mixture. Add nuts. Pour into well greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch jelly roll pan and spread evenly.

Bake at 350 degrees for 22 to 25 minutes or until slight imprint remains when touched lightly with finger. Place pan on rack to cool. Optional: Frost with favorite frosting.
