1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 c. self rising meal
1/2 c. chopped onions

Combine first 6 ingredients and add remaining ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls into hot fat. Drain well.
