CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
4 1/2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco
1 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. water
4 eggs
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. brown sugar

Sift flour, baking soda and salt together 3 times. Blend shortening and sugars together; add eggs. Mix well. Add vanilla and water. Add flour mixture. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 14 minutes.
