CAROLS CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter flavor Crisco
1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. orange juice
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts

Heat oven to 375°F.

Combine Crisco, brown sugar, orange juice and vanilla. Beat until blended. Add egg and beat until blended. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture, just until blended. Add nuts and chocolate chips. Drop rounded tablespoon fulls of dough on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for about 10 minutes. Do not over bake.

Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
