CRANBERRY NUT LOAF 
1 c. cranberries, cut & mixed with 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Grated rind of 1 orange
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted shortening

Sift sugar with flour, baking powder and salt. Add nuts and orange rind. Combine egg and milk and shortening, add to flour mixture. Fold in cranberries. Bake in greased and floured loaf pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees (or tube pan).
