CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. Crisco
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. whole wheat pastry flour
1 c. chopped pecans
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips or mint chocolate chips
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine Crisco and sugar, beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat until fluffy. Combine dry ingredients and add slowly to mixture. Add pecans and chocolate chips. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow cookies to cool slightly before removing to wire rack.
