DATE BALLS 
1 stick butter
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. dates, chopped (8 oz. pkg.)
1 egg, well beaten

Cook over low heat for 10 minutes; remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir well and add 2 1/2 cups Rice Krispies. Stir until mixed. When cooled a little bit, roll into balls with hands. Roll in coconut.
