DINGBATS (DATE BALLS) 
8 oz. chopped dates
1 stick butter
1/2 c. sugar

Combine ingredients in pan over medium heat, stirring constantly until well blended and bubbling. Remove from heat, add 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 cup chopped nuts and 2 cups rice krispies. Roll into balls and then roll balls in powdered sugar.
