KALE SOUP 
An easy one-pot soup.

cooking oil
1 lb. Kielbasa sausage, sliced
1 cup rice
1 1/2 quarts water
1/2 lb. kale, peeled and deveined
4 carrots, chopped
4 celery stalks, chopped
2 lg. tomatoes, chopped
bay leaf and whole cloves
chopped parsley and chopped thyme

Pour a thin film of oil on the bottom of a soup pot. Brown sausage and rice. Add remaining ingredients, stir well and simmer uncovered over medium heat until the vegetables are tender.

Serves 6.
