GRANDMA ROGERS' BROWN SUGAR
POUND CAKE
 
1 lb. light brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
5 lg. eggs
3 sticks butter (room temp.)
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream sugars, eggs and butter. Add flour, sifted with baking powder, alternately with milk. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in a tube pan for 1 hour and 30 minutes at 325 degrees F.
