BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk, mixing well after each addition. Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube or fluted pan. Bake at 325 degrees, 1 hour and 5 minutes, or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool. Frost with Vanilla Glaze.
