GOLDEN FRIED CAULIFLOWER | |
1 med. head cauliflower 3/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. pepper 2 eggs, beaten Vegetable oil Wash cauliflower and break into flowerets. Cook, covered, in a small amount of boiling salted water 5 to 8 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Combine flour, salt and pepper; stir well. Dredge each floweret in flour mixture; then dip in egg. Deep fry in hot oil, 375 degrees, until golden brown. Serve immediately. Yield: about 2 dozen appetizers. |
