1 box graham crackers (some for building, some for munching!)
Assortment of decorating items (Lifesavers, gumdrops, chocolate chips, candy sprinkles, raisins, coconut, etc.)
Empty individual milk carton or half pint cream carton
Lg. tray

Begin construction of basic house by cementing graham crackers to sides of milk carton with icing. Allow sides to partially dry before adding roof. When building is dry, decorate with gum drops, candies, chocolate chips, raisins, and other items you have collected. Dot icing along edges of roof to attach gum drops for colorful borders. Spread icing on roof and sprinkle coconut to resemble snow. Let your imagination run wild!

GRAHAM CRACKER VILLAGE ICING:

3 egg whites
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 lb. confectioners' sugar, sifted
Sm. mixing bowl

Combine 3 egg whites and cream of tartar in small mixing bowl. Beat until stiff peaks form. Add powdered sugar and continue beating until mixture is thick and holds its shape. Cover icing with damp cloth, while not in use.
