APPLESAUCE NUT BREAD | |
2 c. raisins 2 c. chopped nuts 4 c. flour 1 c. sugar 4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 c. applesauce 2 eggs, beaten 1 1/4 c. vegetable oil Combine raisins and nuts. Sift dry ingredients together over fruit and nuts. Mix. Add applesauce, eggs, oil. Stir until just blended. Grease and flour two 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pans. Divide batter evenly into pans. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until breads test done. Freezes well. |
