OREO COOKIE DESSERT 
1 lg. pkg. Oreo cookies
1 stick butter
1/2 gallon ice cream
1 lg. jar chocolate topping syrup
1 lg. Cool Whip

Crush Oreo cookies. Melt butter. Pour butter over 3/4 package of crushed Oreo cookies. Mix well. Pat into bottom of a 9 x 12 pan. (Like a graham cracker crust). I put the crust in the oven for just a few minutes. (Oven 350 degrees.) Let cool.

Layer ice cream on to crust. Pour syrup over the ice cream. Put Cool Whip on top of syrup. Sprinkle remaining Oreo cookie crumbs on top. Cover and freeze overnight.
