PERFECT CORN BREAD | |
1 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 c. sugar 4 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 1 c. yellow cornmeal 2 eggs 1 c. skim milk 1/4 c. soft shortening Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cornmeal in a bowl. Add eggs, milk, and shortening. Beat just until smooth, about 1 minute. Do not over beat. Pour into a greased 9x9x2 inch pan. Bake in 425 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. |
