PERFECT CORN BREAD 
1 c. flour
1 c. cornmeal
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 tsp. salt

Sift dry ingredients together. Add milk, eggs, and melted shortening. Beat until smooth about 1 minute. Pour into greased pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
