NEVER FAIL CHEESE SOUFFLE | |
6 slices fresh white bread, buttered 1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese 5 eggs 2 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. salt Remove crust and butter both sides of bread. Butter baking or souffle dish and arrange layers of bread with cheese. Beat eggs, add remaining ingredients and pour over bread and cheese. Cover dish and let stand overnight or at least 3 hours. Place dish in pan of hot water and bake covered in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Diced ham may be added. Serves 4 or 5. |
